Katherine Nguyen joined APAC for Fall 2014 as a Community Organizer/Tenant Advocate through the HECUA program. She just successfully completed her semester with us and will be returning to her studies at the University of Minnesota to get her degree in Family and Social Science.
Katherine helped to lay the foundation for APAC's work with transit issues, particularly the Rush Line Corridor. She helped to educate residents about the transit corridor, developed alliances with community groups and policy makers, identified and developed transit organizing resources relevant to park residents, and began to gather and share resident questions and opinions about transit with policy makers.
I hope you will join us in thanking Katherine for her work with us. For a while longer, she can be reached at: katherine (at) allparksallianceforchange (dot) org
